Instructions for presenters

Oral and Case presentations

In order to ensure a smooth course during the sessions, we kindly ask presenting authors to consider the following:

An oral scientific presentation is given 10 minutes for presentation and additional 3-4 minutes for discussion.

An oral case presentation is given 5-6 minutes for presentation and additional 3 minutes for discussion.

Make sure that you turn up well before your session starts to meet your session chair and the other speakers. Bring with you a copy of your presentation on a USB flash drive to the room. Please upload and test your presentation in good time.

Computers and Technical assistance
Computers onsite will be PC´s with. Presentations should be in Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT). MAC users who want to submit presentations must export their presentation as a MS PowerPoint file or save as pdf file.

In order to avoid any problems with your presentation please make sure that it fulfills the necessary requirements for the following software:

MS Office 2016 or later version (PowerPoint)
Windows Media Player
Adobe Acrobat Reader

There will be a technician available in both the Conference Hall and the parallel room Pascal. Please hand in your presentation to the technician at the latest in the break before your session starts.

Presentation format
The standard format of the projectors in the conference rooms will be 16:9 (wide screen).

The default slide size in PowerPoint 2016 is widescreen (16:9), for earlier versions of PowerPoint it might be necessary to manually change this. Change the slide size from standard (4:3) to widescreen (16:9).


Poster Presentations

Location and mounting
The posters will be divided into two sessions, each poster will be on display during one whole day. The person responsible for exhibiting the poster is required to be present by their poster on the assigned date.

Posters will be at display in the poster areas which are located in close connection to the session rooms and mingle areas. The display should summarize your research results using visuals such as tables, graphs, and pictures. The purpose is to facilitate one-on-one and small group discussions with colleagues.

The person responsible for exhibiting the poster is required to put up their posters in the morning before 07:45 of the presenting day and is also responsible for the removal of their materials from boards at the end of the day, Friday 18:30 and Saturday 18:00. Remaining posters will be removed.

Mounting material will be provided by the congress staff and each poster place will be marked by the poster number.

Poster measurements
The poster size is an A0 poster in ‘Portrait’ (vertical) format (A0 measures 841mm wide x 1189mm high). Please note that there is not enough space for posters bigger than the stated size or posters in landscape. No audio-visual equipment is allowed at the posters.
